Last week TalentTrust’s CEO, Tess Mackean, joined hundreds of women (and some brilliant men) at a series of ‘Mentorship Matters’ events run by Lean In Singapore.
On Thursday, Tess took to the stage to share her experience in finding a mentor in her early career. Next, she joined a circle chat with an inspirational group of women looking to do the same.
A key theme that came up was the importance of building an open and honest relationship between mentor and mentee. The group agreed that if we’re open and vulnerable about our challenges, we can quickly build trust.
TalentTrust is all about mentorship and our work we see the impact of this every day. Only when our mentors take the time to build trust do we see our charities begin to open up about their own challenges and goals. Once built, the projects truly kick-off and change starts to happen.
In other words, effective mentorship is the key to success! Click here to talk to us about joining a TalentTrust project.
